Trimonoran E-15 Cabin Concept
A few months ago one of my contacts, G. Jelle Bilkert (ing.). , sent me details of a TRIMONORAN hull,
designed and developed by him in collaboration with the renowned Van Oossanen Naval Architects.
Although its development is already some years old,
it was really interesting to make a new concept on this type of hull, something different for me.
The main idea was to create a simple design.
Because of its size (15 meters/49 feet in length) we wanted to design a concept with clear lines,
large spaces and at the same time rethink the design as a set of hull + cabin.
The large windows allow a more fluid exterior-interior interaction.
Although we are facing a closed cockpit we can still get great views of the outside.
LOA: 49 feet (15 meters)
BOA: 21 feet (6.4 meters)
The E-15 project has two variables:
One with a totally closed cockpit
The other with an open concept
Both maintaining the basic lines of the design to achieve harmony between the two models.
